Hi! I'm running Hood to Coast this coming weekend (for the first time). I consistently stick to the schedule, ran the 13-miler yesterday, rested today, etc. However, I'm concerned that I might overdo it if I stick to this week's weekday schedule. (My HTC leg is approx. 17.5 miles). Should I modify my runs this week? If so, suggestions on what to run and when? Thanks for all the great advice and see all of you HTC'ers out there!

Anyone, anyone...Bueller?
It would have been helpful for someone to respond to this question!

Sorry you didn't get a response earlier. I was traveling so I didn't see this til today.
For runners, HTC is largely about speed as opposed to distance, so I would have avoided any fast running (e.g., intervals) less than 4 days before my first HTC leg.
I would just lay off running 36 hours before my first HTC to be nicely rested. Good luck!
