Perhaps with my military background I am taking the whole uniform thing a bit too seriously, but I can't decide which shirt to wear to Helvetia. Please help!

I assumed I was going to wear my white Pfit shirt, but then I picked up my race packet yesterday and there is a rockin' Helvetia Half shirt in there just begging to be worn! I thought we didn't get the finisher's t-shirt until we actually finished, so I'm a little confused about that. Is it taboo to wear the race shirt if you haven't earned it yet or are you supposed to wear that one as part of the event? Are we all wearing the white Pfit shirt for the group photo?

Silly thing to concern myself with considering the 13.1 miles ahead of me, but I feel like I'm ready with just about everything else!

Valid question. My 2 cents...wear your Pfit shirt. We have the group photo at 7:15 and it will be really cool to see all the other PFit'ers out there conquering 13.1! Also, there are 2 camps on wearing race shirts. 1. You can wear your race shirt on race day (not before) and 2. Race shirts are for finishers. I'm in camp 2. That way, you'll have a nice dry shirt to wear after the race!

Raegen - I read an article once by John Bingham, I believe, where he was saying it is in bad form to wear the race shirt in the race. Wait to put it on afterwards as a celebration.

So the answer is BOTH!! I'll wear the Pfit to run and the Helvetia to celebrate! That's even better! Thanks for the runners' etiquette lesson gang! It makes me feel better to know that I won't be that clueless girl. See you there!
