Hi there, this is my first year with Portland Fit and first marathon training program. I experienced dizziness- like i was going to faint- a couple blocks
before the end of the 10 miler this morning. I had been upping my pace for a few blocks to finish, which i always do at the end, but had to stop and walk to make sure i didn't pass out. Not sure why, i ate the exact same thing i do every morning before the long runs and my overall pace was the same-about 11 minute miles. I am healthy, no health issues except for some knee pain which is annoying but not terrible. I am 5'4" and 124 pounds. Just wondering if you had any ideas? Possible I needed some glucose, as i do experience hypoglycemia type symptoms if i don't eat regularly. Kind of freaked me out though. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Ivy

Couple additional questions here. Are you on any blood pressure or heart medications? Any other medications? Were you hydrated during your run? Any reason in particular you pick up your pace for the last couple blocks? Are you participating in speed training?

I look forward to your answers.
