My husband Byron will be doing Monster Cookie this year. It will be his first event this year. I don't get to do it because it's way too close to the Eugene Marathon which I've been training hard for. But I hope to be out on my bike soon too! Yay for Spring training! This winter training stuff is highly overrated!!!!

Yes, I will be there, probably riding with a buddy of mine, but its his first "event" of the season as well and we'll just be cruising. Lets find each other before the start!!

Hey all!! I'll be there with a couple freinds. We're shooting to be there aorund 8 and head out on the bike by 9. They have not been on the bike much so it will be a leasurely stroll through the great city of Salem. Outskirts anyway??!! Anyone is welcome to join the pack. We'll see you there. Lunch at Champoeg.

Hey, sorry I missed you guys this morning, there were a ton of bikes!

What a great ride, the guys that I was riding with were blabbing about taking it easy, which we did, but the majority of my ride was at a pretty good pace. At one point we decided to get behind this group of Tandem riders, there were like 6 of them and they were doing a great job of breaking the wind for us, we maintained over 22 mph for about 15 miles, it was pretty fun...

Rest of the ride was pretty uneventful, only one rude cage, yelled at us in a way rural area that had absolutely no traffic, smiled at him and said "have a better day!!"
