What time does the 25K start next Saturday? The newsletter said 7:00am but the schedule on the website says 6:00am. Did I read one of them incorrectly? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Coach Celia
The newsletter that John sent out on June 29th...

25K on July 14th

Our next benchmark is on July 14th in Portland at our regular homebase at Con-way (CNF). There will be no meeting in Vancouver on Sunday, July 15th. Runners will start at 7:00am. Walkers will start at 6:00am.

Feel free to start at 6:00am with the walkers.
John
I have changed the schedule to reflect the 7am (runners) and 6am (walkers) start times. I also posted an entry for details about the 25K. It's pinned at the top of this forum.

Thanks!
JR-Yellow coach
Attention: Yellow Group Runners.
Yellow coach Lisa will be at Conway at 7 a.m., and JR will be at Conway at 6 a.m. to lead yellow runners out.
(come to think about it, so many good things are yellow: the "yellow jersey," yellow ribbons, the yellow rose of Texas, and yellow submarines, just to name a few!)

JR,

You are taking a group out at 6? Wil there be support (water/Gluekos) set up along route at that time? Are there many people palnning on going out this early?

It would be nice to beat the heat!

Amen! Are other runners considering starting earlier as well? I'd be much happier running at 6 than at 7.

We will have coolers at homebase, available at 6am.
Water and Gleukos will not be set up until 7:30am at the water stations along the route at the end of Oaks Park and Willamette Park. If runners are planning to leave at 6am and make it to the first station before they get set up, please don't be disappointed.
Everyone must carry some type of hydration system!

We will also have a few Coaches on bikes to make sure everyone is safe and if there is a need for help they can contact home base.

Once you get back to home base, enjoy oranges and bananas.

I am planning on running at 6 with JR and the yellow runners. I am a red runner, about a 10 minute mile pace. JR, how soon do you think we'll actually leave after 6 am? Are we leaving right at 6 or do we have a little talk?
Coach Celia
UPDATE:
Coolers will be arriving @ 6:45am - plan to have your water bottle(s) filled if you plan to leave before that time.
