I am a type 1 diabetic which I manage through many blood sugar checks each day (average 6) and an insulin pump. I'm experimenting with the temporary basal rates available on my pump to control my glucose levels during and after running. I find that morning runs work the best for me, though during the week, I often have to run after work since I start early.
Are there any other type 1 or insulin dependent diabetics doing Portland Fit?
If so, is there any interest in discussing the ins and outs of running with diabetes?
