21 miler on 9/6 @ Zidell

Our next (and last!) benchmark event for 2014 will be on Saturday, September 6th at Zidell. Come out and enjoy your last big training exercise before the big one!

If you are doing your first marathon this year, remember that this last benchmark is your dress rehearsal. Try to do everything you’ve learned all season. Wear the clothes, shoes, and socks that you plan to run or walk in. Bring your water bottle and have your hydration/nutrition strategy planned out. Eat the same dinner the night before. Clip your toenails on the Wednesday night before…. this is your last chance to practice.

21 Mile Start Times
Purple: 6:00
Red: 6:15
Yellow: 6:30
Green: 6:45

If you are not doing the marathon this year but are still participating with Portland Fit, you’ve got three options:

  1. Come out and run or walk part of the course. Keep up your fitness with a 13 mile start to your weekend. You know, just because you can.
  2. Stay home and sleep in.
  3. Come out and volunteer! Help us support those folks going over 20 miles for the first time. You remember when you did your first 20 miler? Contact Celia (at) PortlandFit (dot) com for details. Thanks!
