Thinking About Joining?

Most folks will continue to wonder. They think a marathon training program can’t really be for them. “I mean, I don’t even LIKE to run,” the’ll say. Or they’ll think “I haven’t run in years. I can’t do a marathon.” We know something those folks don’t — They. Can. Do. It.

Running doesn’t have to be like your high school gym class where you are wheezing as you struggle around a track. It’s meant to be enjoyed at an easy pace while you talk shoulder-to-shoulder with a friend. That’s the way you run (or walk!) a marathon. Or a half-marathon. Or your first 3 mile run or walk with our group.

Our next season starts on March 30th at 8am at Portland Running Company. The absolute hardest part is getting out of bed that first day and showing up. 99.9% of people don’t do that one thing. If you are unsure, come out and just watch that first day. Look around and see who shows up. Or try the first 3 mile run or walk (hint: you can do both!). If you like what you hear and how it feels to be a part of a supportive and fun program, then join Portland Fit and come out the following week.
